Challenges, rewards
As I leave office as president of New Jersey Jewish News, I would like to express my appreciation to all the Jewish communities served by our newspaper for the privilege of allowing me to serve for the past two years. It has been a challenging and most rewarding experience. I would like to acknowledge the board of trustees and all the committees who volunteered countless hours and who, together with the accounting expertise provided by Marvin Wertheimer and the finance committee, helped steer the ship during a challenging economic climate.
Our community is privileged to have the award-winning staff of NJJN led by a team of very capable individuals. Special thanks to editor-in-chief Andrew Silow-Carroll, COO/general manager Mollie Leitzes, and managing editor Abby Meth Kanter, whose guidance produces a publication in which we all take pride.
As the new term now begins, I extend my best wishes to Linda Levi as she embarks on her tenure as the new president of NJJN.
