Checking tefillin and mezuzot during Elul

As a service to the community, Bris Avrohom had three sofrim — scribes — come to the shul to check tefillin and mezuzot. It is written in the Shulchan Aruch that mezuzot and tefillin should be checked during the month of Elul as preparation for the new year.
If you would like to have your tefillin and/or mezuzot checked, call the BA office at (908) 289-0770. Also, as part of the shul’s ongoing mezuzah campaign, Bris Avrohom is offering special discounts for all mezuzot and tefillin purchased or checked during this month.
