Clara Diamant
Clara Diamant, 87, of Springfield died July 9, 2013. Born in Bilgeri, Poland, she was a Holocaust survivor who came to the United States in 1950, residing in Newark, Hillside, and Union before moving to Springfield.
Mrs. Diamant worked many years as a seamstress. She and her late husband Louis owned One Hour Martinizing Cleaners in Newark for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Toby Robert Cohen of Manalapan, Sara (Richard) Kurtzman of Springfield, and Adele (Brian Goldenberg of Old Bridge; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to The Blue Card or Deborah Hospital Foundation.
