Comedy in Scotch Plains
Professional comedian Joey Novick presents an interactive comedy workshop at Temple Sholom on Sunday, October 19, at 7 p.m.
The comedian includes a journey through Jewish humor that reveals profound talmudic wisdom and enlightenment. From classic jokes to family stories, the audience will see how laughter has been a secret weapon for Jewish survival.
The free evening is supported by the shul’s Rabbi Nathanson Fund and the Ruth Rutenberg Fund for Lifelong Learning.
Joey Novick is a Comedy Central and Rascals Comedy Hour veteran. A winner of New Jersey and Cape Cod Story Slams, he has shared the stage with Robin Williams at NYC’s Comic Strip and trained at Chicago’s Second City. He’s been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, BBC, and NPR.
