Daniel Bobis
Daniel H. Bobis, 95, of Scotch Plains died Sept. 22, 2013. Born in New York City, he lived in Livingston, White Meadow Lake, and Union before moving to Scotch Plains in 1998.
Mr. Bobis was a patent attorney at Lerner, David, Littenberg, Krumholz & Mentlik, LLP in Westfield.
Among his many associations with patent law organizations, he was president of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Association in 1966.
He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II, and flew 37 missions in battles of the European Theater. He was awarded the Air Medal with three bronze and one silver cluster as well as a Purple Heart.
Predeceased by his wife, Selma (Linder), he is survived by two daughters, Stacee Bobis-Miccio (Anthony) of Scotch Plains and Jodee Verbow of Florida; a sister, Bernice R. Bobis of Livingston; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 24 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
