The paternal grandparents are Leona and Marc Kessel of Springfield. The maternal great-grandmother is Barbara Plotkin of Boca Raton, Fla. Mason Avi is named in memory of his maternal great-grandfather Arti Plotkin and his paternal great-grandfathers Moses Kessel and Morris Levy.
