David Guskind
David Robert Guskind, 64, of East Brunswick died March 2, 2013. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Cliffside Park, Union, Morris Township and North Plainfield before moving to East Brunswick 29 years ago.
Mr. Guskind was a physical education and health teacher. Prior to his retirement in 2007, he was a sales representative in the tobacco and confectionary industry for over 30 years, winning contests and awards.
A graduate of Union High School, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison and graduated from the University of Miami.
He was an eager supporter of his daughters and the athletic teams they participated in growing up, serving as a volunteer coach for youth sports.
He was a member of East Brunswick Jewish Center.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna (Slatnick); two daughters, Caryn and Melanie; a sister, Jeryl Guskind of Delray Beach, Fla.; and his mother-in-law, Marion Slatnick of East Brunswick.
Services were March 4 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 246 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755.
