Elinore Heyman
Elinore Heyman, 89, of Bethesda, Md., died Dec. 22, 2011. She had lived in Plainfield for 52 years before moving to Bethesda 37 years ago.
Mrs. Heyman worked at Tepper’s Department Store in Plainfield, where she established a Founders Room for fashion shows and women’s groups, and in the executive offices at Bank of America in Bethesda.
She graduated from Plainfield High School.
She was a longtime member and past sisterhood president of Temple Sholom, Plainfield. She was also a member of Congregation Beth Gedaliah, Washington, DC, which was named in honor of her grandfather, Rabbi Gedaliah Silverstone.
Predeceased by her husband, Nathaniel (Nate), she is survived by three daughters, Susan Understein, Gail Karp, and Linda Schueler; her son, Richard; a brother, Marvin Shrager; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date with arrangements by Thibadeau Mortuary Service, Gaithersburg, Md.
