Emanuel Germinsky
Emanuel Germinsky, 89, of Watchung died Sept. 2, 2014. He was born and raised in Plainfield and moved to Watchung in 1975.
Mr. Germinsky was the owner and operator of Germinsky Electrical Company in Plainfield, retiring in 1995.
He enlisted in the United States Army in June 1943, where he served in the 4th Infantry Division, earning two bronze stars with one V for Valor device.
He was the founding member of Temple Beth El in Plainfield and was past president of the Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, where he volunteered for over 25 years. He also supported many other Jewish and general philanthropic charities.
He was a member of Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains.
Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Elaine, in 2013, he is survived by two sons, Robert of Asbury and Bruce (Bella) of Long Branch; his daughter, Susan (Thomas) Cherin of Westfield; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 4 with arrangements by Higgins Home for Funerals, Plainfield.
