Fay Cooperhouse

Fay Cooperhouse, 94, of Tinton Falls died March 23, 2015. She lived in many places in the United States, France, and Germany while her husband served as a career officer in the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Cooperhouse was a teacher for almost 70 years, first at various elementary schools around the country and then as a Hebrew school teacher at Congregation B’nai Israel in Rumson.

She received her BA and MA degrees from Drexel University, and also took classes toward a doctorate.

She served in leadership positions in the many communities in which she lived.

Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Jack, in 2006, she is survived by two sons, Terel (Lynn) and Louis (Elizabeth), and four grandchildren.

Services were held March 25 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
