FELDBAUM

Elaine and Robert Feldbaum of East Brunswick and Aventura, Fla., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 4, 2013, with a family celebration at the Baltimore Renaissance Hotel in Maryland’s Inner Harbor.

The couple was married while Mr. Feldbaum was on leave from the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, where he was serving in their support during the Korean War. A graduate of Rider University with a bachelor of science degree, he was a senior partner in F.B.R. Realty, president of Feldbaum, Inc., and president of Asbury Fuel and Marine Company, as well as president at Fair Haven Yacht Works for more than 15 years. A life member of Deborah Hospital, he received the Golden Heart Award.

Mrs. Feldbaum earned her bachelor of arts from Hunter College and her master’s degree in education from Rutgers University, as well as an ABD in the doctorial program in science and humanities. She retired from the Manalapan-Englishtown School District as an ESL teacher. She is a life member of East Brunswick Hadassah and they are both founding members of East Brunswick Jewish Center.

They are the parents of Lauren Gilman and her late husband, Scott Gilman; Hal Feldbaum and his wife, Judith Silverstein Feldbaum; and the late Bradd Feldbaum and his wife, Susan Shulman Feldbaum; and the grandparents of Arielle, Joni, Michelle, Drew, Jarrett, and Brandon.
