Florence Grossman
Florence Grossman, 89, of Miami died Sept. 1, 2014. She formerly resided in Irvington, Maplewood, West Orange, and Delray Beach, Fla., before moving to Miami six months ago.
Mrs. Grossman worked with her husband in I and F Deli in Irvington and later as a bookkeeper.
She attended Weequahic High School in Newark and Columbia High School in Maplewood.
A member of Congregation AABC of Irvington, she was president of West Orange Hadassah and B’nai B’rith. She was also the author of two cookbooks.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Isadore; her son, Philip (Lori) of Miami; her daughter, Shelley (Allen) Glushakow of Livingston; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 5 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah of West Orange or Delray Beach.
