FRANK-AUSTERN

Barry and Anita Frank of Livingston announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyssa Danielle, to David James Austern, son of Lynn and Ronnie Burns of East Meadow, NY. The future bride is also the granddaughter of Thelma and Harry Zalewitz and Sali and Bernard Frank, all of Monroe Township. The future groom is the grandson of Renee and Donald Ross of Delray Beach, Fla.

Ms. Frank, a graduate of Livingston High School, earned her bachelor’s in psychology from University of Maryland, College Park, and her master’s in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, the Bronx. She is an intern at Youth Consultation Services, East Orange, in completion of her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School, from which she will graduate in May.

Mr. Austern earned both his BA in English-creative writing and his MFA in poetry from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, and clinic coordinator at Rutgers Anxiety Disorders Clinic.

A Nov. 8, 2014, wedding is planned.
