Goodbye, Jersey Journal
Dear readers,
We bid a fond farewell to the Jersey Journal, which published its final issue this past Saturday.
I grew up in Hudson County alongside many of you, and I remember the paper’s importance in our daily lives.
Those were amazing times, and I have so many fond memories of reading the Journal as I was growing up.

I stared at its giant sign for years, because our offices were directly across the street from it, in Jersey City’s Journal Square.
Like many daily newspapers across our country, the Journal was in decline in its last years as its readers transitioned to digital.
We will miss it.
We’ll also miss the Newark Star-Ledger, which will continue, but only in digital form.
We wish our friends at Advanced Media continued success as they chronicle Hudson County in a different way.
