Gwendolyn Schlesinger-Ferguson

Gwendolyn Schlesinger-Ferguson (Schwarz), 89, of Cincinnati died May 22, 2019.

Mrs.Schlesinger-Ferguson was a ballerina who had performed with the Rockettes. She held numerous jobs during her career, including English teacher, administrative assistant at the U.S. Embassy in the Netherlands, reading specialist, ballet teacher, and finally as an administrator at a facility in Ohio.

She received a bachelor of education from Kalamazoo College, an M.A. in education from Xavier University, and an M.S. in hospital administration from Xavier University.

Predeceased by her husband, Robert Ferguson, she is survived by four sons, Scott (Ann Marie) Schlesinger, Craig (Karen) Schlesinger, Neal (Emy) Schlesinger, and Mark (Laura) Schlesinger; and 10 grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Eleanore Speck & J. Donald Schwarz.

Services were held May 28 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
