Harold A. Cohn
Harold Cohn, 91, of Rockleigh died Jan. 29, 2020.
Mr. Cohn spent the majority of his professional career as an operations executive and then as a business owner. Although he officially retired in the 1990s, he was active and influential in various endeavors up until and including his last nine years as a resident at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, where he was responsible for the creation of the Jewish Home’s current tagline, “Advancing the Art of Living.”
A Korean War veteran, he was a member of the United States Air Force, serving from 1950 to 1953.
He was the Master Mason of Geba Lodge in New York City.
Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Arlene, he is survived by two daughters, Susan Cohn and Debra Meister; his son, Michael (Ilene) of Kinnelon; a sister, Diane Hirschinger; a brother, Ronald Cohn; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 1 with arrangements by Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, Hackensack. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Home Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, or Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).
