Harold Siegel
Harold Siegel, 92, of Thorofare died Aug. 5, 2012. He lived most of his life in Newark.
Mr. Siegel was a certified public accountant and partner at Bederson, Siegel and Co.; Jacobs, Siegel and Co.; and Levine Jacobs and Co.
A graduate of West Side High School and Newark College (Rutgers University), he returned to school in his 60s, graduating with honors from Seton Hall University with a master’s degree in taxation.
He was very involved with Beth David Jewish Center of Newark, serving as president.
Predeceased by his wife, Rita (McGrath), he is survived by his daughter, Ann Cathy Vanderhoof; his son, Martin; two grandchildren; and his caregiver of five years, Judith Smith.
Services were held Aug. 7 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Heartland Hospice.
