Harriette Binik
Harriette Linn Binik of Livingston died Feb. 27, 2013. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived in East Orange before moving to Livingston 59 years ago.
Along with her late husband, Albert, Mrs. Binik owned Garfield Dinettes in Jersey City until 1983.
She attended City College of New York.
She was a member of the National Council of Jewish Women of Essex County and the sisterhood of Temple Beth Shalom.
She is survived by two daughters, Adrienne Binik-Chanin (Alan Chanin) and Hilary (Leigh) Lachman, and five grandchildren.
Services were held March 1 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter- Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston First Aid Squad, American Friends of Magen David Adom, or the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society.
