Helen Demsky
Helen Demsky, 92, of East Windsor died March 4, 2019. Born in London, she moved to Reading, England, in 1940 when her home was bombed during The Blitz. While working there as a seamstress, she met an American soldier, Arnold Demsky, and the two were married in 1944 and moved to Brooklyn. She moved to East Windsor in 1986 and resided for 20 years in Monroe Township’s Clearbrook community.
Mrs. Demsky enjoyed sewing and traveling to England, which she and her husband visited every summer after his retirement in 1981 for nearly 20 years.
Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by her son, Martin (Barbara); two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 8 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
