Helene Weintraub
Helene Weintraub (Klein), 78, of Little Silver died Nov. 17, 2011. She was born in Yonkers, NY, and lived for the past 10 years in Little Silver.
A writer and editor, Mrs. Weintraub taught writing classes at the New School, Pace University, Baruch College, and Brookdale Community College.
She attended Yonkers High School and was named “Miss Yonkers 1951.” She majored in English and psychology at New York University.
She is survived by her husband, Seymour, whom she married in 1960; two daughters, Karen Cooper and Lisa Swan; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 21 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
