THE NEW JERSEY Region of American Jewish Committee will honor Alan R. Hammer, a member of the law firm Brach Eichler LLC in Roseland, with its National Judge Learned Hand Award on Monday evening, Dec. 10, at the Hilton Short Hills.

AJC established the award in 1964 to honor the memory of Judge Learned Hand and to cite leaders in the legal profession for excellence and their contributions to the legal community.

“It’s an honor to be considered amongst a group of individuals whom I recognize as true leaders in our profession,” said Hammer.

Hammer, a senior statesman at Brach Eichler, has been with the firm since joining as a law clerk in 1970 and as a full-time attorney after graduating from Rutgers University School of Law in 1971. He is a former managing partner of the firm and has served on its executive committee since its inception.

Among his many honors, Hammer has been recognized for years in “Best Lawyers in America®” and “New Jersey Super Lawyers.” He is a significant contributor to Jewish community organizations, most notably the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, serving as Major Gifts cochair in support of the 2019 UJA Annual Campaign.
