Janina Wilkenfeld, 101, of West Orange died Aug. 19, 2016. A Holocaust survivor who immigrated to the United States from Poland at the age of 46, she was a longtime resident of Morristown.
A dressmaker in Poland and in the United States, Mrs. Wilkenfeld also taught sewing classes in Poland. She retired from dressmaking in 1980.
She was very involved with Morristown Senior Center and the Shalom Club of the Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael.
Predeceased by her husband, Samson, in 1986, she is survived by her daughter, Eva (Paul) Mendelsohn of Randolph, and two grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 22 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove.
