Joseph Katz
Dr. Joseph L. Katz, 80, of Warren died Feb. 27, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, he was a former resident of Scotch Plains and also had resided in Avalon.
Dr. Katz was an ophthalmologist and on the medical staff of Overlook Medical Center, practicing for over 50 years before retiring.
He was a graduate of New York University and SUNY Downstate Medical School.
He was an avid golfer.
Predeceased by his wife, Carole, he is survived by his daughter, Lori (Michael) Feldstein of Princeton; his son, Rob (Valerie) of Livingston; a brother, Saul; and five grandchildren.
Services were held March 2 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wound Care Center, c/o Overlook Medical Center, 99 Beauvoir Ave., Summit, NJ 07902.
