Joseph Levy
Joseph Levy of Tewksbury died March 29, 2017. Born in Brooklyn in 1930, he lived in New Jersey since 1969, residing in Park Ridge and then in Tewksbury for the past 20 years.
A Chartered Life Underwriter, Mr. Levy was the retired owner of The Joseph Levy Insurance Agency of Westwood, which he closed 10 years ago. He was also a published author who wrote “Operation Damascus” and “Mr. Spearhead” in the 1970s.
He was a member of B’nai B’rith and Lions International.
Predeceased by a grandson, Jacob Levy, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Harriet; two daughters, Donna (David) Zolla of Randolph and Miriam Lustbader of Randolph; his son, Saul (Eileen) of Randolph; a brother, Ralph of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held March 31 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Dover. Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice in Flemington.
