Kathryn Reinhart
Kathryn M. Reinhart (Myers), 93, of Maplewood died Jan. 24, 2012. Born in Albany, NY, she moved to East Orange in 1948 and to Maplewood in 1951.
Mrs. Reinhart was employed by the East Greenbush, NY, school district from 1940 to 1948 as an art teacher for grades kindergarten through 12. After raising her children, she returned to the teaching profession in the South Orange-Maplewood School District until her retirement.
She received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, in 1940. She earned a master’s in guidance from the State University of New York.
She was an active member of the National Council of Jewish Women for over 30 years. She was also an avid craftsperson specializing in enamels.
Predeceased by her husbands, Victor Cohen and William Reinhart, and her son Richard Cohen, she is survived by her son, Donald Cohen of Albany; and two nieces, Mary Ellen Greene of Madison and Penny Turney of Oklahoma City, Okla.
