Laura Bleckner

Laura Bleckner (Lapides), 73, of Summit died April 2, 2019. Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington before moving to Summit in 1971.

Mrs. Bleckner was a receptionist for her husband, Dr. Martin P. Bleckner, D.M.D., in Summit for 48 years, retiring in 2018.

She was a member of Congregation Ohr Shalom, the Summit Jewish Community Center; ORT; and Hillside Hadassah.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Steven A. (Lisa) of Chevy Chase, Md., and Erik C. of Burlington, Vt.; a brother, Jerry Lapides of Manchester; a sister, Michelle DiBello of Bloomingdale; and two grandchildren.

Services were held April 3 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
