Leah Eisenberg
Leah B. Eisenberg, 87, of Short Hills died Aug. 3, 2014. Born in Newark, she moved to Maplewood in 1959 and then Short Hills in 1975.
Mrs. Eisenberg was the secretary to the rabbi at Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange for a short time. Previously, she worked for the Beneficial Finance Company as secretary to the vice president.
She earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in art history from Kean University.
She was a member of Hadassah, the sisterhood of Oheb Shalom Congregation, and the Maplewood P.T.A.
She is survived by her husband, Sheldon; three sons, Robert L. (Daisy) of Cool, Calif., Paul (Donna) of Morris Plains, and Richard L. (Erika) of New Paltz, NY; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 6 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Chatham.
