Leo Blank

Leo J. Blank, 97, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died July 21, 2014. He was born in New York City and grew up in Brooklyn. Following many years living in the Los Angeles area, he returned to the East Coast, residing for many years in Livingston before retiring to Florida. 

Mr. Blank was the owner of a paint distribution company in Bloomfield from the 1960s until his retirement in the late 1990s. 

He attended Columbia University. 

During World War II he fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded two Purple Hearts. 

He was a former member of Cedar Hills Country Club in Livingston.

He is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Stephanie) of Kensington, Md., and Peter (Nina) of Morristown; a brother, Harold; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

Services were held July 23 with arrangements by Levitt-Weinstein Funeral Home, Tamarac, Fla.
