Leon Brostoff
Leon Brostoff, 89, of Monroe Township died Oct. 20, 2013. He was born in Brooklyn, where lived until 1979, when he moved to Monroe.
Mr. Brostoff founded L.B. Sales Company, a manufacturer’s representative firm specializing in hardware products, and worked in this capacity for more than 55 years.
He voluntarily enlisted and served in the Amphibious Forces (LCT Flotilla Group) in the U.S. Navy during World War from 1943 to 1946. He earned the Victory Medal, Asia-Pacific Theater (One Star) and American Theater campaign ribbons.
He was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Clearbrook, Jewish War Veterans Post #395, the Clearbrook chapter of Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation and was president of Metropolitan Hardware Boosters.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; two sons, Martin (Jeannie) and Mark; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 23 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, Clearbrook chapter, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
