Leonard Kleinhandler

Leonard Kleinhandler, 85, of Livingston died Feb. 24, 2011. Born in Newark, he lived in West Orange and Livingston for many years.

Mr. Kleinhandler was a jewelry designer/manufacturer and the president of Kay Jewelry Manufacturing Co. of Union for over 55 years.

He was a graduate of Newark’s Weequahic High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of B’nai B’rith, Cedar Hill Country Club in Livingston, and Hunters Run Country Club in Boynton Beach, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Kitty (Hinkes); two daughters, Andrea Roz Gendel and Donna Shoengold; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 27 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midland Foundation, North Branch.
