Lillian Schwartz

Lillian F. Schwartz, 97, of Interlaken died March 25, 2012. She was born in Newark and moved to Interlaken in 1947.

Mrs. Schwartz began her career at age 13 working for the purchasing department of Hahne’s department store in Newark. She later worked at Fort Monmouth for the Electronics Command at the Hexagon and the Provost Marshal. She worked for the Asbury Park Office of Social Security until her retirement in 1975.

She was active in many local groups, including the Monmouth County, NJ, Chapter 0411 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.

Predeceased by her husband, Jack L., she is survived by two sons, Joel of San Rafael, Calif., and Bruce of Interlaken.

Services were held March 26 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
