Looking for Lozowicks

The South Orange Pierro Gallery in connection with the Seton Hall Graduate Program in Museum Professions is planning an exhibition of the work of South Orange artist Louis Lozowick (1892-1973). The exhibition will take place in January 2016. Lozowick is recognized as an Art Deco and Precisionist artist who produced streamlined, urban-inspired monochromatic lithographs over a 50-year career.
Lozowick lived in South Orange with his family from 1943 until his death in 1973. His family owned a frame shop while he continued to teach, lecture, travel, and produce lithographs.

The Pierro Gallery is looking to borrow works of art made by Lozowick from local residents for the exhibition. Please contact gallery director Sandy Martiny at smartiny@southorange.org; if you have a work by Lozowick you would like to be considered for the show.
