Marilyn Warmflash

Marilyn R. Warmflash (Rohrberg), 88, of South Orange died Dec. 4, 2015. She was born in Newark. 

An educator, Mrs. Warmflash taught elementary school in her early years. She also worked in special education and taught homebound children. Later, she taught English as a second language to Russian immigrants.

She graduated with honors in economics from University of Wisconsin. After marrying and having two children, she earned a master’s degree in special education from Seton Hall University. 

She served on the boards of the Essex County League of Women’s Voters, National Council of Jewish Women, and Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange and was an active lifetime member of Hadassah. She had been a member of Mt. Sinai Congregation for decades.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Warmflash of New York City; her son, Rabbi Andrew Warmflash of Hewlett, NY; a sister, Eileen Klatsky; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 7 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
