Marvin Schneiderman, 92, of West Orange died Dec. 1, 2019. Born in New York City, he was formerly of South Orange and Boynton Beach, Fla., before moving to West Orange in 2015.
Mr. Schneidernan owned and served as president of Mail-O-Plate Service/Commercial Mail in New York City for his entire career. He was also a consultant to the Port Authority of NY and NJ on the creation and implementation of the E-ZPass program.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II.
After retiring and moving to Florida, he was remained active in the direct mail business, providing expertise to the Florida-based non-profit Food for the Poor.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Harriet; his daughter, Susan (Marc) Haspel; his son, Bill; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 4 with arrangements by Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn. Memorial contributions may be made to JCC MetroWest Margulies Senior Center, designated to senior and adult programming.
