Miracle of lights in the Livingston sky
Chabad of Short Hills and the Friendship Circle held a drone show and menorah lighting over LifeTown in Livingston on December 7. About 150 drones rose in the air, flying in sync, loaded with LED lights, in a synchronized choreographed dance, creating a series of images and patterns in brilliant color.
Images included a spinning dreidel, a Maccabee, a menorah, an oil jug, and messages like “Love IDF,” “Love Israel,” and “Am Yisrael Chai” in English and Hebrew letters. Ron Feingold, a former Friendship Circle volunteer who is an IDF soldier and recently returned from Gaza, lit the first candle.
The program included latkes, doughnuts, water, glow sticks, and hand warmers. The LifeTown show ended with a shower of chocolate gelt into the crowd.
