Miriam Dorothy Cooper (Rubinstein), 98, of Simsbury, Conn., died Oct. 27, 2018. Born in Newark, she lived in Larkspur, Calif., for 30 years prior to moving to Simsbury six years ago.
Mrs. Cooper worked as an executive assistant at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark before her retirement.
She attended Kean College in New Jersey and the College of Marin in California, where she pursued her lifelong interest in art and pottery.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles, she is survived by two daughters, Dena Cooper Mandel (Robert Mandel) of Simsbury and Robin Cooper (John Stone) of Madison, Wis.; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Arrangements were handled by Vincent Funeral Home, Simsbury; a springtime memorial will take place at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Corte Madera Public Library, Corte Madera Library, 707 Meadowsweet Drive, Corte Madera, CA 94925.
