Miriam Greenberg
Miriam Greenberg, 90, of Verona died March 5, 2014. Born in Newark, she resided in Verona for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Greenberg taught for 25 years in Montclair, where she earned many accolades. She was a co-founder of Harbor Hills Day Camp.
She graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, in 1941. She earned her BA in education from Newark State Teachers College (now Kean University) in 1963 and received a master’s degree in special education at Montclair State University.
She was active in Hadassah and the Brandeis Organization.
Predeceased by a grandson, Morgan Schneider, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Michael) Schneider and Amy Greenberg (Al Levy); her son, Jay (Janet Horowitz); and five grandchildren.
Services were held March 7 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
