Miriam Viscardi

Miriam Viscardi (Herman), 90, of Florham Park died Feb. 9, 2013. She had also resided in Newark, Maplewood, Morristown, and Lake Hopatcong.

Mrs. Viscardi worked at Newark Beth Hospital for 20 years in a supervisory position.

She graduated from Newark Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing.

She volunteered at the Cheshire House, Florham Park; the Morristown Museum; and the rehabilitation center of Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was a life member of National Council of Jewish Women.

Predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Peter, and her sister, Evelyn Lemerman, she is survived by her sister, Marcia Nebel of Maplewood; a nephew, David Lemerman (Susan) of Edison; and nieces, Paula Lemerman (Stewart Shilcrat) of St. Louis, Mo., Carole Stewart (Alex) of Wisconsin, and Susan Price of Maplewood; a grand-niece, grand-nephews, and a great grand-nephew.

Services were held Feb. 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to National Council of Jewish Women or Seeing Eye Institute, Morristown.
