Murray Levine, 93, of Dallas died Nov. 1, 2019. He was born in Brooklyn and moved to New Jersey in 1950. After raising his family in Springfield, he moved to Dallas in 2004.
Mr. Levine was a certified public accountant in New York and New Jersey and had a long career as controller and senior vice president of Supermarkets General Corporation. From 1987 until his death, he was a financial consultant for Ronetco Supermarkets.
He received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from New York University.
He was a veteran of World War II.
A lover of tennis and table tennis, he received many championship trophies, including the Dallas Senior Table Tennis Champion in 2007. He also spent many of his senior years traveling and playing in international bridge championship tournaments.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Norma (Bech); two sons, Howard (Eunah Kam) and Michael; his daughter, Beth (Milton Packer); and five grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 3 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
