Museum celebration honors the legacy of the Jews saved by Oskar Schindler

Manhattan’s Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust held its annual L’dor V’dor (Generation to Generation) dinner on December 5. The sold-out celebration, with more than 400 attendees, took place on December 5 at the museum. The program honored the legacy of the Jews saved by Oskar Schindler. The celebration was in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the release of the film “Schindler’s List.”

Actors Liam Neeson and Julianna Margulies were among the speakers, as were the museum’s president and CEO, Jack Kliger; its board chair, Bruce Ratner; and jeweler and influencer Rachie Shnay, a third-generation Holocaust survivor. American-Israeli Grammy award-winning violinist, producer, and humanitarian Miri Ben-Ari performed. More than 30 descendants of Schindler survivors and their relatives, including the Lissner-Urbach family from Cresskill, were at the dinner.
