Phyllis Niman Metsky, 89, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died March 11, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, she also lived in West Orange before moving to Chattanooga four years ago.
Mrs. Metsky was a substitute teacher in West Orange for 46 years.
Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Monroe, she is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Ken) Hays of Chattanooga; her son, Ira of Verona; and a granddaughter.
Arrangements were handled by Heritage Funeral Home, Chattanooga. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga or Hospice of Chattanooga.
