Purim in Scotch Plains
Congregation Beth Israel plans several community Purim celebrations. A special Purim Tot Shabbat is on Saturday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m., geared for children 5 and younger and their families, with songs, stories, and treats.
On Monday, March 6, there will be two Megillah readings, an earlier abbreviated kid/family-friendly Megillah reading with fun Purim singing at 5:30 p.m., and a later one for adults with a full Megillah reading and a shpiel at 7:30.
There will be a costume parade at the end of the family service.
Between the two Megillah readings, there will be pizza, drinks, and dessert at 6:30 p.m. The dinner is free and open to the community. Registration is encouraged for the Tot Shabbat service and Purim dinner at cbinj.org. For more information, email office@cbisp.org or call (908) 889-1830.
