Rachel Coalition hosts annual community education luncheon
The Rachel Coalition, the domestic violence division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ, hosted its annual community education luncheon last month at Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael in Springfield. More than 180 people were at the luncheon, and more than $2,100 in gift cards for domestic violence victims and their families was collected. JFS also honored the memory of Lois Kaish, the onetime co-chair of this annual event.
Corporate sponsors included ADP, Broadridge Financial Solutions, Sunrise Shoprite, BNE Real Estate, JP Morgan, Lereah Financial Group, Paul Miller Porsche, Planned Companies, Preferred Client Group, Shufro Rose, SAX, Matthew Bert Libien, CFP®, and Wells Fargo Advisers.
Rachel Louise Snyder, a New York Times best-selling author, talked about her experiences with domestic violence. Her newest book, “Women We Buried, Women We Burned: A Memoir,” was the JFS/Rachel Coalition Book Club choice on November 14.
Proceeds from the luncheon will support the Rachel Coalition.
