Rachel Fleischmann Schramm
Rachel Fleischmann Schramm, 81, of Boca Raton, Fla., died Aug. 28, 2011. Born in Nuremberg, Germany, she previously lived in Norfolk, Va.; Teaneck, and Fort Lee before moving to Florida 30 years ago.
Mrs. Schramm was a professional freelance writer for various newspapers and magazines in Florida.
She attended the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va.
She was an active member of Temple B’nai Torah in Boca Raton and a past member of the Jewish Center of Teaneck.
Predeceased by her husband, Max, she is survived by two daughters, Diana Holtzman of White Plains, NY, and Janet Gelman of Livingston; a brother, Joseph Fleishchmann of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Services were held Aug. 31 with arrangements by Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapels. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Temple B’nai Torah.
