Remember the uprising
At our seder table on Monday evening, we will take a moment to honor the memory of those brave Jewish heroes who against all odds fought back the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto on the first night of Passover 1943. The leader of the Jewish Fighting Organization (Z.O.B.) was 23-year-old Mordechai Anielewicz (Analovich). He and 750 other fighters resisted the Nazis until May 8, 1943.
We honor the heroes’ memory at our seder every year so that our children and grandchildren will know that on this first night of Passover in 1943, Jews were still fighting for their freedom and their life.
Please do the same at your seder.
