Rita Rosenfield
Rita Rosenfield, 89, of Mountain Lakes, formerly of Washington, D.C., and Hallandale, Fla., died Jan. 11, 2019.
Mrs. Rosenfield worked as an interior designer. In her second career as executive administrative assistant for the Washington Home in Washington, she came to know Barbara Bush and John Dean, who served on its board of trustees.
Predeceased by a grandson, Larry Silverman, she is survived by her daughter, Myrna (Richard) Elfenbein of Mountain Lakes; her son, Neal (Missy) Silverman of Hagerstown, Md.; a sister, Bea Rosenberg of Potomac, Md.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and her former daughter-in-law, Joyce Silverman.
Services were held Jan. 13 with arrangements by J.L Apter Memorial Chapels of Dover. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s research or a local animal shelter.
