Robert Ackelsberg
Robert Ackelsberg of Philadelphia died July 27, 2012. Born in New York City in 1927, he grew up in the Bronx and raised his family in Cranford.
Mr. Ackelsberg’s last career was that of a college professor of business at Shippensburg University, where he specialized in international studies, leading to extensive world travel.
He was a graduate of City College and City University of New York.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn (Kramer); three sons, Irv, Joel, and Alan; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held July 29 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Doctors without Borders.
