Ronald Dauer
Ronald B. Dauer, 80, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died July 24, 2015. Born in Trenton, he was a former resident of Ewing and Pennington.
Mr. Dauer enjoyed a long career as a real estate broker and appraiser. He was the proprietor of Dauer Realty and Appraisal Service, Inc., before retiring.
He attended Trenton Central High School and University of Missouri.
He was a member of Congregation Brothers of Israel, where he was a board member for many years and active in the Trent Center and Kingsbury Senior Apartments. He was also active in the Jewish Community Center, where he coached youth basketball. He helped organize the JCC’s summer softball league, serving as a captain for many years. He also coached youth baseball in the Ewing Lions and Lou Gehrig leagues, and his teams won numerous championships.
An avid tennis player, he was coordinator for the USTA adult league, where he captained the local team that reached the regional finals. He also achieved Life Master status in three years from the American Contract Bridge League.
Predeceased by his wife, Sandra, he is survived by two sons, Lewis (Kathleen) and Adam (Deborah); a brother, Arthur; five grandchildren; and his companion, Linda Schertz.
Services were held July 29 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Har Sinai Temple, Pennington.
