Rose Regenstein
Rose Regenstein, 95, of Whippany died April 15, 2020. Born and raised in Newark, she resided there for many years before moving to West Orange in the mid-1960s and Whippany two years ago.
Mrs. Regenstein worked alongside her husband in a family business in Newark. In the 1960s she changed careers and starting teaching in the Montville school district.
After her retirement she became an active volunteer in many organizations, both in West Orange and in Delray Beach, Fla., where she spent winters. She also did volunteer work at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and worked in the gift shop at Daughters of Israel in West Orange.
She was a graduate of West Side High School in Newark and New York University.
Predeceased by her husband, David, she is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Al) Ludwin of Randolph; her son, Fred (Cheryl) of Metairie, La.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
