Sarah Bloom
Sarah “Sylvia” Bloom (Levitt) of West Orange died June 20, 2019. Born in Pine Brook, she lived in West Caldwell for many years before moving to West Orange in 2002.
Mrs. Bloom and her husband Martin owned Caldwell Paint and Hardware and Caldwell Art Shoppe for over 40 years.
She volunteered at Saint Barnabas Medical Center for 22 years, and was an active member of Temple B’nai Abraham’s seniors group.
Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara of West Orange; her son, Lewis of Denver; and a brother, Stanley Levitt of Denville.
Services were held June 23 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
